Frid Tapestry Weaving Yarn


Frid tapestry weaving yarn is a 2 threaded, firm and glossy yarn that is easy to weave. It is suitable for hangings and home furnishings. Frid comes in 108 glorious colours.

Even though Frid is a traditional weaving yarn it is also suitable for knitting, crochet and stitch as well as for embellishing and embroidery into felt and linen.

We supply Frid in 100g skeins as well as in 25g and 10g balls for smaller projects.


Frid tapestry weaving yarn is spun from Norwegian Spelsau wool (F1 = top quality) with a small amount of Norwegian C1. This mix combines the strength and luster of the Spelsau wool’s long coat with the liveliness of the Norwegian C1.

Frid yarn is a 2-threaded, firm and glossy yarn suitable for pictures, hangings, table runners, furniture fabrics, etc. Even though Frid is a traditional weaving yarn, it can also be used for knitting, crochet, stitch and for embellishing your felting projects.

  • About 300 m pr. 100 g, Nm 6/2 – 100% Norwegian wool.
  • Vevskje (Warp threads per centimetre): 30-10, 1 thread in the groove, 1 thread in the tip.
  • Washing: Wool or Linen wash.
  • Supplied in 100g skeins.
  • Each 100g skein is approximately 300 m long, (Nm 6.2/2).
